About Ignatianum

Situated in the heart of Krakow, Ignatianum – as a Jesuit university – has become a part of more than 450 years of educational tradition of the Society of Jesus. Currently, Jesuits run their schools and universities in 27 countries on almost all continents, thus being one of the largest international educational networks.

The roots of Jesuit University Ignatianum go back to the 1930s. Educating lay students began in the last decades of the 20th century. At present, there are more than 3000 students and 11 fields of study within the scope of humanities and social sciences.
